How to Enable Chat in Issuetrak

Chat can be enabled in Issuetrak from the Features screen within System Settings:

Administration > System > System Settings > Features


Steps

To enable Chat on the Features screen, check the box that states “Use Chat” – this will enable the text field that requires the Chat Widget ID. While the Widget ID can be obtained by contacting support, it can also be obtained directly from the Chat Admin Portal.

Launch the Chat Admin Portal.

Log into the Admin Portal with your credentials.

Click on Settings.

Click on Get the Code.

Scroll to the Widget ID section at the bottom of the page and click Ok.

The Widget ID should appear for you to copy – you can do so by clicking the copy button provided.
 

Once obtained, the ID can be pasted into Issuetrak to enable the Chat Widget integration.

In Issuetrak, go back to the Features screen: Administration > System > System Settings > Features

Scroll down to the Chat section and paste the copied Widget ID into the Chat Widget ID text field.

Click Update on this page to save the changes.
