Managing Embedded Images

Information

All users can embed (and possibly remove) images within any compatible records they are able to add or update. Only users with Sys Admin or Can access and maintain Administration functions permissions can view all images currently uploaded to your Issuetrak Web Directory or delete any unused images in the Web Directory directly from your site’s interface.


Including Images in Rich Text

From the Submit, Add or Edit screen of the Issue, Quick Pick, Recurring Issue, Escalation Rule or KB Article where the new image is to be embedded, drag and drop the image from your computer to box. Resize or move around as necessary.

Submit Issue, Save or Update in the Submit, Add or Edit screen to finalize the embedding process.

OR

Click Insert Image from the Insert menu in the Rich Text Editor, then Browse to locate the image file in the popup window that appears.

Click OK. The popup window will then close and the image will display in the field when the upload is complete.

Submit Issue, Save or Update in the Submit, Add or Edit screen to finalize the embedding process.

Submit Issue, Save or Update in the Submit, Add or Edit screen to finalize the embedding process.

An appropriate success message will display when the save or update is complete.

Embedding Images in Plain Text

Images can only be embedded within Knowledge Base Articles when using Plain Text, and only from the Edit screen after an Article has been saved.

From the Edit Article screen of the Knowledge Base Article where the new image is to be embedded, click adding links, embedded images or special formatting to your article…

Scroll down to the Inserting Images section of the popup window that appears and click Browse to locate your image.

Click Save when the image’s current file path displays in the Add Image field.

Click Create Image Tag in the new section that appears in the popup window.

Copy the entire value generated in the Image Tag field and paste it into the Article’s text exactly where the image is to be shown.

Click Update in the Edit Article screen.

The message Article successfully edited will display and you may close the popup window when the embedding process is complete.
